RODWELL COULD TAKE PART IN TEAM GB
Jack Rodwell has said that he is keen to take part in the team GB for the Olympics. While the wrangling continues over the participation of Scottish and Welsh players, the Everton man has no doubts about what he wants to do.
"I would definitely like to be involved," the 20-year-old told everton.tv.
"You always want to test yourself at a high level and I would be proud to represent Great Britain.
"It is effectively a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be involved in something like that and the chance to win an Olympic medal would be amazing."
PLATINI BLAMES PREMIER LEAGUE FOR LACK OF DEVELOPMENT
UEFA President Michel Platini has said that the Premier League was preventing the development of England's national team.
William Gaillard has told the British government's culture, media and sport committee that England's Football Association "is probably in a weaker spot than any other FA in Europe" partly because of the power and influence of the Premier League.
Gaillard said Tuesday that the FA should emulate countries including the Netherlands by appointing a technical director to oversee the development of players for the national team.
FERGUSON'S THE TOP MANAGER IN ENGLAND

TICKETS SOLD-OUT
Gray Speed's first home match against England on March 26 is going to play in Millenium stadium and all the tickets have been sold. The Football Association of Wales have confirmed they have sold nearly all of the 69,000 tickets for Gary Speed's first home match on Saturday, 26 March.
"Due to overwhelming demand we are now in a position to suspend ticket sales for the time being," read a statement.
"Exactly what we need," Wales assistant manager Raymond Verheijen told twitter.
And FAW chief executive confirmed that the majority of tickets have gone to Welsh fans.

BROOKING REVEALS ENGLAND'S PLAN
Sir Trevor Brooking has revealed the English football Association's master plan for developing youth. Director of football Sir Trevor Brooking and general secretary Alex Horne have made 25 proposals with the aim of producing better young players.
"These recommendations form the basis of our outlook of our national game for years to come," said Brooking.
The proposals have been approved by the FA board and council.

ENGLAND CANCEL FRIENDLY
The English football association has confirmed that they have cancelled the friendly against Thailand that was initially planned. The English Football Association cited scheduling concerns for the withdrawal, but the British press has speculated it is retribution for Thailand's football boss breaking a "promise" to back England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
The Thailand-England fixture would likely have proved a highly lucrative event and was supposedly agreed in return for the support of Worawi Makudi, president of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).

ENGLAND NOT ENTERING LEGENDS TOURNAMENT
England are currently refusing to enter in the Legends tournament to be held in Russia. A spokesperson for England, however, has claimed that their refusal has nothing to do with the election of Russia for the World Cup 2018.
"It is not connected with the election of the country for the World Cup, just at the moment we do not have a team that would be willing to represent. We would like to prepare a strong team next year to represent England," the English Football Association said

RECORD DEAL AGREED
The England football Association has agreed a record-breaking the of £ 50 million from property sales. The fund manager is poised to buy a proposed 228-bed Hilton hotel at the 330-acre St George’s Park coaching complex in Burton-on-Trent, which the FA hopes will foster a new generation to follow Bobby Moore’s ‘Boys of ‘66’.
As England have under-achieved in successive World Cups there has been a clamour for the Burton-on-Trent complex to be built.

MENSAH SUPPORTING ENGLAND BID
John Mensah has said that he will be supporting England's World Cup bid. The Sunderland defender told Safc.com England is the ideal place to stage the global football showpiece.
“Having played a part in the World Cup just gone I know what a fantastic tournament it is. I love playing my football in England and this is an ideal stage for a World Cup.”
The successful bid will be announced on December 2 in Zurich.

FA BUILDS CASH
English Football Association has built a cash surplus after the collapse of TV Deal. The Football Association's decision to ensure it has about 30 million pounds in contingency funds mirrors a move by FIFA after the world ruling body came close to bankruptcy when television and marketing partner ISL went out of business in 2001. FIFA now has more than $1 billion in reserve.
