CHELSEA AIM HIGH AFTER INTERNATIONAL BREAK

Branislav Ivanovic is hoping that his team Chelsea continues its form after the international break.

Chelsea have played some fantastic football off late. Out of their last 5 games, the Blues have won 4 and they are slowly making their way towards the top of the Premier League points table. They are now only a couple of points behind the Gunners who are the table toppers.

After the international break, Chelsea will have to deal with a very hectic schedule – they are set to play 7 matches in a space of 3 weeks and that’s not going to be easy.

Talking to the reporters yesterday, Ivanovic said, “Our schedule after the break is pretty tough. I think the whole squad is going to be used for those matches.”

“It’s not easy at all to reach the top of the table. We need to continue doing well.”

“The team is going in the right direction. We have shown some good form in the last few matches. Hopefully, we continue that form when we return after the break.”

When asked what he thinks is the key for a team if it has to win the Premier League title, Ivanovic said, “Look, every side is going to go through bad patches at some point of time in the season. The key is to make sure that you just don’t lose all the points when you are going through a bad period. You need to hang in there and try to secure some points.”

The latest football betting odds reflect the fact that fans think Chelsea will be competing for the title at the end of the season, with their recent form making them second favourites, behind just Mancheester City for the title.

When asked about Chelsea securing its first away league win this season at Norwich City on Sunday, Ivanovic said, “To secure a win there was vital for us. We went out there with a lot of determination and got the result that we wanted.”
