Juan Mata praises Marcus Rashford’s progress at Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has praised the progress of teammate Marcus Rashford during the course of the current season. As such, he has found form with five goals and an assist in the past seven matches and this has impressed Mata, who has urged the youngster to keep up with the good work. “To win seven games from a possible seven is not a simple task in any way, so we are proud and happy with how things have gone in recent weeks. But we want more,” he wrote on his official website.

He is doing okay with Hoffenheim and we think that he and some other players in the Under-21s have got big futures. I always liked his personality on the field and he is one of a number of attacking players who will push for places in the coming years, but he is not the only one and it is important we keep pushing him. I don’t want him to be thinking that he has just got to roll up and he’s the next one, because there is really good competition for places.”
